Class Descriptions

๐Ÿ’— Dance With Me

This engaging class is designed for young dancers ages 2–3 and their grown-up! Together, you and your little one will explore the rhythm of music while being introduced to simple, beginner dance steps in a fun and supportive environment. With the guidance of a familiar adult, dancers will build confidence, coordination, and a love of movement. Various accessories such as parachutes, hula hoops, streamers, and tambourines may be used to encourage creative movement and interactive play.
Dress Code: Comfy, unrestrictive clothing, gymnastic or ballet shoes (black required for recital)

๐Ÿ’— Movement to Music

This fun class will introduce preschool aged children to the rhythm of music and introduce beginner steps in dance. Various accessories such as parachutes, houla hoops, streamers and tambourines may be used to encourage creative movement.
Dress Code: Comfy, unrestrictive clothing, gymnastic or ballet shoes (black required for recital)

๐Ÿ’œ Creative Dance

A great first introduction to dance. This class will have children working on improving balance and rhythm while learning basic dance moves. No previous experience required!

๐Ÿ’œ PreAcro

Perfect for your tiny tumblers! This high-energy class combines joyful dance exploration with playful gymnastics. Students are introduced to fundamental Acro movements like rolls, somersaults, and cartwheels while learning beginner choreography and rhythm. A great first step for budding Acro dancers!. No previous experience required! 
Dress Code: Comfy, unrestrictive clothing, barefeet

๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’š Intro to Acro

The perfect class for students that enjoy dance and gymnastics! Students should expect to develop strength and flexibility as well as basic acrobatics skills (rolls, handstands, cartwheels). Simple partner tricks may be taught to gain understanding of balance and sharing body weight. No previous experience required but this class is a prerequisite to Continuing Acro (2 years of Intro Acro and/or teacher approval is required to move to the next level). 
Dress Code: Comfy, unrestrictive clothing, bare feet

๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’š Continuing Acro

Previously Intermediate Acro. The perfect class for students that enjoy dance and gymnastics! Prior gymnastics or acrobatics experience required. Students will further develop strength, flexibility and acrobatics skills. Students should be able to do a cartwheel, handstand and bridge by themselves at the time of joining. Difficulty of skills and partner tricks will be increased. 
 **The teacher reserves the right to assess all students in the first week of class to ensure appropriate skill level for this class and move a student to the class that suits their skill and age level. It is a prerequisite to Advanced Acro. 
Dress Code: Comfy, unrestrictive clothing, bare feet

๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿงก Intermediate Advanced Acro Choreography

Prior gymnastics or acrobatics experience required. Students will further develop strength, flexibility and acrobatics skills. Students should be able to complete a variety of cartwheels and bridge combinations. Difficulty of skills and partner tricks will be further increased. **The teacher reserves the right to assess all students in the first week of class to ensure appropriate skill level for this class and move a student to the class that suits their skill and age level.

Contemporary dance is an expressive dance form that combines elements of several dance forms including modern, lyrical and classical ballet. Contemporary dance relies on fluidity and improvisational movement to evoke a range of feelings in the viewer. Dancers in this class will develop strength, flexibility and skills as well as musicality and expression. Jumps, turns, kicks and floor work will be developed as the class proceeds. No previous experience required! 
Dress Code: Comfy, unrestrictive clothing, gymnastic or ballet shoes (black required for recital)

Explore the artistry of movement in this expressive 30-minute class that blends elements of modern, lyrical, and classical ballet. Dancers will develop strength, flexibility, and technique while building musicality, storytelling, and emotional expression through choreography. This class focuses solely on choreography—no games or downtime—offering committed students a chance to refine their skills and deepen their performance quality.
No previous experience required.
Dress Code: Comfortable, unrestrictive clothing; gymnastics or ballet shoes (black shoes required for recital).

Hip Hop is a fast-tempo, high energy, urban style of dance that encompasses a variety of techniques including breaking, locking and popping. In this dynamic class, students will start with a warm-up and instruction of movement concepts and conclude by learning choreography to R&B, Pop and Old-School Hip-Hop music. No previous experience required! 
Dress Code: Comfy, unrestrictive clothing, gymnastic or ballet shoes, or indoor running shoes (black required for recital)

Hip Hop is a fast-tempo, high-energy, urban style of dance that incorporates a variety of techniques including breaking, locking, and popping. This choreography-based class is designed for dancers looking to focus on learning and performing dynamic combinations in a short, high-impact class setting.This class focuses solely on choreography—no games or downtime—offering committed students a chance to refine their skills and deepen their performance quality. No previous experience required.

๐Ÿ’™ Intro to Jazz Funk

๐Ÿ’š Junior Jazz Funk

Jazz Funk is an expressive and energetic dance style that encourages strong technique, builds strength and promotes individual style. Class begins with a thorough warm-up and centre exercises. Students will then progress through a series of jumps, turns and combinations moving across the floor. We’ll end each class by teaching students a short piece of choreography. In our jazz funk classes, we use fun, popular music as well as classic jazz and Broadway genres.
Dress Code: Comfy, unrestrictive clothing, gymnastic or ballet shoes (black required for recital)

Jazz Funk is an expressive and high-energy dance style that combines strong technique with performance and individual style. In this class, dancers will build on their foundation through a focused warm-up and centre work designed to develop strength, control, and precision. This class focuses solely on choreography—no games or downtime—offering committed students a chance to refine their skills and deepen their performance quality.
No previous experience required.

๐Ÿ’š Junior Musical Theatre

For those with a dramatic flair! Dance and theatrics combined to create a rousing routine at recital. Students will participate in improvisation exercises, scene study and Classical Dance technique. They will then learn a combination to a classical musical theatre song. This class is designed for students to express themselves, have fun, work on technique/flexibility and BRING THE DRAMA 
Dress Code: Comfy, unrestrictive clothing, gymnastic or ballet shoes, or indor running shoes (black required for recital)

๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿงก Intermediate Musical Theatre
